I don't know why I noticed, but, everyone appeared to be a man who works there. Weird observation: everyone working there last night was a guy. It was a bit too casual of a vibe for what is presented as a beautiful fine dining experience, IMHO. As a result, we would all read the tasting menu out loud so remind ourselves of the details of each dish. He'd drop it off and say "Black cod" and leave. I also wish the food runner would have explained what our dishes were. While all the staff were friendly, it felt a bit chaotic and we had to wait considerable time to often get our table bused, which is a pet peeve of mine. Fresh berries and a delicately sweet cream that was touched with the funky bite of absinthe. The black cod was melt in your mouth delicious!įourth course: Strawberry with an absinthe cream. I *hate* mushrooms or I would have gotten it. However, the star of the show was the black cod with lions mane mushrooms. Third course: I had grilled ribeye which was cooked perfectly and very tender. We all agreed at the table it was absolutely delicious. I love little gems and this was one of the best salads I've ever had in my life. Second course: Little gem lettuce salad with green goddess dressing. While I love spicy food, the hot peppers used in the ceviche overpowered the dish and I could not discern between each ingredient (i.e. House made tortilla chips were delicious.
